EN. There are a small number of people for whom imagery and symbolism alone are sufficient reason to watch an otherwise difficult film such as this one. In the story, a boy, a woman and a cow seem to be the only survivors of a global catastrophe, except for whoever is following them threateningly in a tank. Slowly they put together what they need to survive, and despite the difficulty of all this, it looks as though the human race may just manage a new beginning. This simple, darkly imaged story is told with a very minimal amount of dialog. Sci-Fi and action fans may find the film disappointing, but conoisseurs of metaphor may find what they are looking for here.

Aygul's son - the main character, now became a pilot, recalls his childhood in a small Kazakh city, which fell on a difficult post-war time. Flying high above the Earth, he thinks of the Russian girl Lyusya, from his distant past.

Camping Cosmos. 1996.
Camping Cosmos is a 1996 Belgian satirical comedy film and a sequel to La Vie seхuelle des Belges 1950-1978, directed by the same director: Jan Bucquoy.
The movie's tagline is: Revolution, football, beer and frites. It is an unconventional and non-conformist story of the sexual habits of Belgians. Cosmos refers to the eternity of heaven in full contrast with this little campsite where so many people live together with their problems and limited view of the world. It also refers to the Russian cosmonauts who explored space, but who as communists did not believe in an afterworld. And last, the name of this Campsite Cosmos is referring to the sky without limit above the heads of its residents. The picture became a cult film.
The summer of 1986. On a campsite at the Belgian coast - where everybody wants to live in complete freedom and forget the obligations of everyday life - Jan Bucquoy, the delegate of the Ministry of Culture, must bring culture nearer to the working class. He presents things like Bertolt Brecht's play, Mother Courage and Her Children or an interview with the famous writer Pierre Mertens, but the vacationers at this caravan park are more interested in low-brow distractions, like soccer, boxing matches or beauty contests, as well as sexual adventures and temporary romances. One of the actors is dressed up to resemble Tintin.

Based on Claude Jasmin's European bestseller of the same name, Don't Cry Germaine chronicles the often hilarious journey of the Bedard family to their new home in Spain. Following the apparent suicide of their daughter Rolande, Gilles and Germaine have a hard time keeping the rest of their family together. Germaine persuades the overbearing Gilles to take the family back to her hometown in the Spanish Pyrenees, where a new life will hopefully await them. Packing into the car their laconic teenage son, increasingly rebellious teenage daughter, and young twins, Gilles and Germaine embark on a road trip that, not surprisingly, quickly turns into a test of nerves. The kids have conveniently packed their dead dog in with the luggage, Gilles encounters a man who may be responsible for Rolande's death, and the whole family bickers with a force and intensity that would do justice to their American counterparts, National Lampoon's Griswold clan.

Circle of Two / Obsession. 1981.
In 1980, on one of the rare occasions that he returned from exile in Europe to work in North America, Jules Dassin made CIRCLE OF TWO. He shot the movie in and around Toronto with a largely Canadian crew. As Dassin and scriptwriter Thomas Hedley develop this story of the attraction between a sixty-year-old artist, Ashley St. Clair (Richard Burton), and a sixteen-year-old would-be writer, Sarah Norton (Tatum O'Neal), they show how the circle of people around Sarah and Ashley are affected, and how they react. The circle includes Sarah's school friends; her mother and father; and Ashley's ex-lover Claudia (Nuala Fitzgerald) who is in from New York for a visit. Along with Richard Burton in one of the last performances in his long and distinguished career, and Tatum O'Neal attempting to make the transition from child star to adult actress, the cast includes Michael Wincott, in an early role, as Sarah's boyfriend Paul, who does not react well to being rejected, and Kate Reed as Sarah's pragmatic doctor.
The movie began filming in August 1979, but did not debut theatrically until 1981. (It was shown at the Cannes Film Market in May 1980).

Buenos Aires, 1955. One of a family of Sicilian immigrants, the adolescent Laura is on the threshold of adulthood. Her father Francesco Lojacono, is a humble tailor whose relationship with his daughter is one of extreme conflict. As Laura becomes increasingly emancipated in Argentinian (and therefore American) fashion, her father feels personally betrayed. He becomes consumed by an irrational jealousy whether Laura spends time in the library or at a party: whether she makes friends with a teacher or collects photographs of popular actors; whether she shows an interest in the cinema or theatre or takes part in political discussions her behavior is a source of great annoyance to her father. The development of an intense intellectual rapport with Dora, a teacher of Italian origins, gives Laura a sense of liberation from her family ties. The period also signals her first experience of love. But her father is suddenly overcome by physical illness. The diagnosis is so grave that the extent of his illness must be kept from him, causing their relationship to rapidly deteriorate with painfully dramatic results.

Jauche und Levkojen. 1979. Episode 5.
DE. Jauche und Levkojen ist ein Fernseh-Mehrteiler aus dem Jahre 1978, der von der Bavaria Atelier GmbH produziert wurde. Er basiert auf dem gleichnamigen Roman von Christine Brückner. Die Erstausstrahlung fand am 14. August 1978 im Ersten statt.
Der Mehrteiler schildert die ersten drei Lebensjahrzehnte der Maximiliane Irene von Quindt, die 1917 in der Endphase des Ersten Weltkrieges im Hotel Adlon gezeugt wurde, und im August des letzten Kriegsjahres auf dem im Besitz ihres Großvaters befindlichen Gut Poenichen in Pommern geboren wird (Drehort im Film ist Gut Sierhagen). Ihren Vater lernt sie nie kennen, da dieser an der Westfront fällt. Ihre aus Berlin stammende Mutter Vera, die mit dem Kind nichts anfangen kann, lässt das Kleinkind bald auf dem Gut der Großeltern zurück, um sich wieder in das Großstadtleben zu stürzen. Sie heiratet einen jüdischen Psychoanalytiker, der aus Wien nach Berlin gekommen war. Als dies in der Zeit des Nationalsozialismus gefährlich wird, reist ihr Schwiegervater zu ihr nach Berlin und verschuldet sich tief, um ihr die Flucht aus Deutschland zu ermöglichen. Maximiliane aber wächst – als Stammhalterin für das Adelsgeschlecht – bei den alten Quindts in Poenichen auf.
Die Episode "Wildwuchs" ist die 5. Episode der 1. Staffel der Serie Jauche und Levkojen.
Wie ihre Erzieherinnen, verliebt sich Maximiliane in Blaskorken. Der Inspektor nimmt ihre Schwärmerei nicht ernst und reagiert auch nicht auf die naiven Annäherungsversuche des halbwüchsigen Mädchens. Dem alten Quindt bleiben die Gefühlsverwirrungen seiner Enkelin nicht verborgen.
